Summary by Bob Ashby:
West started slow and fell behind early, 0-6, but at the 5:39 mark Ladonnis Griffin forced a fumble which Daved Jones recovered and ran in for a 63 yard TD. The Joshua Laine extra point kick was good giving West a 7-6 lead, a lead they never relinquished.  In the second stanza JJ Ross intercepted a Viking pass running it back from 8 yards out to raise the West lead to 13-6.  Later in the quarter JJ Ross made his second interception of the evening followed shortly by a Nicklas Hjort 33 yard field goal raising the Firebird lead to 16-6 by the intermission.  Princeton could get no closer than three points when they scored a final TD with 2:27 left in the game. The name of the Firebird offense was David Afari.  West’s team offensive total was 137 yards, 3 yards less than Afari’s 140 yard individual rushing total.   He made 28 rushing attempts gaining an average of 5 yards per carry.  The Firebird defensive unit made major contributions to the win.  In addition to Ross making two interceptions and the defense contributing the two team TD’s other defensive standouts were Isaak Kolosik with highs of 13 tackles, including 2 tackles for loss, 1 a sack.  Jalen Swanson had 9 tackles and a team high 2.5 sacks.  Close behind were Truman Mason with 8 tackles and Ladonnis Griffin with 5 tackles including 1.5 for loss and his game changing fumble force.
