Junior, Boys Basketball
Carter led Lakota West in scoring this week with 28 points. He contributed 12 points in the Firebirds win over Middletown at Lakota West on Tuesday and was the games co-leading scorer with 16 points in the Lakota East/West rivalry game at Lakota East on Friday.
Grace Glosson
Junior, Girls Swimming
Grace set a new Lakota West school record for the 100-yard backstroke while competing in the Canton Christmas Invitational tournament this weekend. The previous mark was the oldest record in the Firebird book and had stood since 1998 (20 years). She finished 6th among competitors from over forty schools. Glosson also swam a leg on West’s 5th place medley relay team at Canton.
